We Provide Consulting and Auditing for the Following Food Safety Schemes:

 GlobalGAP (previously known as EurepGAP)

EurepGAP was established in 1997 in response to customer concerns about product safety and to replace the cumbersome auditing system that required producers and retailers to complete multiple audits for different markets. GlobalGAP established a standardized GAP system addressing management systems, environmental impacts, chemical applications, worker health and safety, and animal welfare to satisfy market and customer demands.

GlobalGAP certification audit or standards integrates all agricultural products into a single farm audit.  To achieve certification, agricultural suppliers should follow the instructions found at its Web site.

Primus Labs:

Based in California, Primus Labs provides a range of services including pesticide residue testing for microbiological organisms, third party auditing, and development of documents and data management systems, and bilingual educational materials.

Primus Labs’ audit and third-party verification services include the following types of organization and production processes: ranch, harvest crews, packing houses, processing facilities, greenhouses, and cooling/cold storage. Recently Primus developed a GFSI certified program called: PrimusGFS.

Also, Primus Labs provides on-line food-safety based document/manual development tools. By using these tools, organizations can development site-specific Good Agriculture Practices (GAP), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), monitoring logs, flow charts, standard operating procedures, employee education outlines, and hazard plans.

Safe Quality Food Institute (SQF) :
SQF was acquired and supervised by the Food Marketing Institute.  SQF Institute offers two food safety audit certification programs, (SQF 1000 and SQF 2000).

SQF 1000 is tailored to growers and/or producers.  Components of the 1000 audit require the supplier to have site-specific protocols or plans developed for Good Agriculture Practices (GAP), food safety and food quality concerns.

SQF 2000 focuses on food manufacturers and/or distributors.  Included in the 2000 audit are Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), food safety and food quality plans specific to the manufacture’ and/or distributor’s facility.

SQF certification program also includes other audit components including worker welfare, environment, animal care, and food security.

British Retail Consortium (BRC):

In 1998 the British Retail Consortium (BRC), responding to industry needs, developed and introduced the BRC Food Technical Standard to be used to evaluate manufacturers of retailers own brand food products. It is designed to assist retailers and brand owners produce food products of consistent safety and quality and assist with their 'due diligence' defence, should they be subject to a prosecution by the enforcement authorities. Under EU food Law, retailers and brand owners have a legal responsibility for their brands.

BRC Food Safety audit schemes are recognized as GFSI and implemented in the U.S.  However majority of audits we’ve completed have been in the Northeast in orchards.

Tesco Nurture 10 (TN10) :

TN10 audits are overseen by NSF-Cmi.  TN10 is a specific food safety audit required by the Tesco grocery chain.  As of 2011, very few Tesco grocery chains exist in the United Sates however Tesco presents aboard is almost in every country.

In my opinion they provide products similar to what American’s find at a Wal-mart. Typical only specific packinghouses providing to Tesco will require a Tesco audit.  TN10 is not recognized as a GFSI audit.

ISO 22000:
The International Organization of Standardization (ISO) created one of the most popular and most recognized standardization in the world: the Quality Management System Standard ISO 9001. This standard was developed decades ago to provide a uniform standard worldwide for quality management. ISO and its member countries used the Quality Management System approach, and tailored it to apply to Food Safety, incorporating the widely used and proven HACCP principles into the quality management system. The resulting standard is ISO 22000. With ISO 22000 you get to build your own Food Safety Management System tailored to the particular type of food production, handling or processing of your business.

USDA-GAP/GHP:

USDA GAP-GHP is a program developed by the Federal Government and is mostly used to validate products growers are selling to Federal or State programs, such as schools and prisons.
